Description
From April 7 to October 16, the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències becomes a peculiar open-air museum room.
The lakes of the Hemisfèric, the Palau de les Arts, the Paseo de Cipreses, the Paseo del Arte and the west entrance of the Museu de les Ciències host the Igor Mitoraj exhibition in their facilities.
Fifteen large sculptures made of bronze that, strategically fragmented, impregnate the Ciutat de les Arts with their "broken beauty", thus promoting a magical encounter between science, nature and art in the same space.
Through his pieces inspired by Roman and Greek culture, the Polish sculptor aims to convey the malaise of contemporary man and his precariousness and fragility, resurrecting with his work the idea that art has a soul of its own.
He discovers the new bet of the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències for urban and public art, and immerse yourself in the art of Mitoraj while enjoying a pleasant walk along the old bed of the Turia river.
