The 5th edition of Las Noches del Botánico which was supposed to be held from 17 June to 29 July 2020 has been moved to 11 June to 29 July 2021

The vast majority of artists who were due to perform in 2020 (except for Dido and Quique González who already have prior engagements) have already confirmed they will taking part in the 2021 edition.

The Alfonso XIII Royal Botanical Garden will host a new edition of the cycle of concerts for summer evenings and nights from 11 June to 29 July 2021, in which a selection of national and international artists will participate, presenting their latest albums and hits live in a unique environment. Jessie J, Wilco, Pat Metheny, LP, Crowded House, Rufus Wainwright, Herbie Hancock and Tom Jones are some of the artists that will participate in the fifth anniversary of the festival.

In June and July, this natural space will be the venue for the multi-faceted festival in which generations and styles (jazz, Latin, flamenco, rock and pop) will come together, making eclecticism its cover letter and becoming a must musical event for summer nights.

The 2019 edition attracted more than 65,000 visitors and included the participation of artists like Woody Allen, Jane Birkin or Michael Bolton​. This year, it boasts first rate artists, featuring Jessie J with one of the most solid careers of British pop; the alternative rock band, Wilco, which will perform its latest album, Ode To Joy; the American singer and songwriter, Laura Pergolizzi, better known as LP, who reached fame with her song, Lost on You; the Australian alternative rock group, and Crowded House responsible for songs like Don’t Dream It’s Over, Weather With You and You Better Be Home Soon.

The North American guitarist, Pat Metheny, winner of 20 Grammy Awards and one of the essential names in jazz in recent decades will stop off as part of his European Side Eye tour; Rufus Wainwright from Canada will present the songs from his latest album produced by Mitchell Froom; and the contemporary jazz legend, Herbie Hancock, will visit the festival with his quintet on his special tour to celebrate his 80th birthday.

As for the national scene, there will be performances by Victor Manuel in which he will be accompanied by the singer and songwriter, Nando Agüeros; the flamenco singer, Andrés Suárez, and Isma Romero from Valencia; the pop rock group, Los Secretos; the guitarist and songwriter, Diego García “El Twanguero”; the artist, Zenet and the musician from Cadiz, Javier Ruibal; the band from Barcelona, Egon Soda; and the musician, Kiko Veneno. As representatives of flamenco, Tomatito with Duquende, Israel Fernández and Antonio Reyes; and the flamenco singer, Diego El Cigala and the Gipsy Kings with its fusion of flamenco, rumba and pop, will all be present.

The extensive line-up is rounded off with the presence of artists like Tom Jones, Cat Power, Estrella Morente, Kiki Morente, Zucchero, Patáx, Of Monsters & Men, Smith & Thell, Belle and Sebastian, Beth Orton, Agnes Obel, John Grant, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Tigran Hamasyan Trio, Laredo, Flor Amargo, Woodkid, Awir Leon, George Thorowood & The Destroyers, Vintage Trouble, Carlinhos Brown, Cimafunk, Imelda May, Nikki Hill, JJ Machuca, Little Dragon, The Cinematic Orchestra, Youssou N'Dour, Cymande, Asaf Avidan, Mayra Andrade, Oscar D'León and Eva Ayllón, among others.

Those present will also find a design market and an extensive range of gastronomy that includes new foodtrucks. It offers the best musical variety in a unique environment with a very special format.
