Description
Un Pingüino En Mi Ascensor was born in 1985, when José Luis Moro, a long-suffering law student, decided to show the world the delirious little songs that he had composed in the solitude of his bedroom with the help of his nasal voice and a keyboard with YAMAHA PSR 60 rhythms. In them he dumps his various influences: punk, techno-pop, TV commercials, etc. In 1987 he managed to attract the interest of DRO and his first album was released, a six-song mini-LP that includes the hit Espiando a mi vecina. Starting in 1988, Mario Gil (ex-Paraíso, ex-La mode, ex-Aviador Dro, ex-talented character) joined the band and Un Pingüino En Mi Ascensor became a duo. Until 1990, three more albums were published: El balneario (1988), Enjoy with the misfortunes of others (1989) and Blood and television (1990). As of 1991, due to a series of disagreements with their record company, Mario and José Luis decided to abandon their professional activity as musicians and seek other means of subsistence. However, the band never disappears. In their spare time they continue to perform (in Madrid, in Barcelona, in Mexico, in Moraleja de Enmedio), composing and even releasing new albums: In variety is fun (1993), Pingüimatic (1999), Piromanía (2004).
