Description
Ailá is a proposal inspired by traditional orally transmitted music with the aim of making people dance and feeling that universal energy made "of roots and wings" but it is also a semantic proposal, a neologism to name the emotional essence of our present people in "the echoes of the memory of those who preceded us."
Ailá immerses us in the Folk universe, or TRADI as they prefer to call it, with impeccable arrangements from the historical collections of popular musical knowledge. This, together with the peculiar formation composed of four musicians, give it a unique character, providing a new sound to its traditional repertoire.
A new proposal that comes from Folk to become TRADI. In addition, Ailá intends with this new artistic proposal to bring its root music to the younger generations, with a closer language and sounds without losing the essence, providing a broader vision of the musical universe in the current panorama, creating its particular style TRADI.
Ailá is forged in the magical nights of foliada in A Casa das Crechas, which, when the curtain fell, always gave shelter to some and some of the protagonists to continue making music.
These small musical sessions were nourished by a repertoire inspired by sound files, popular songbooks and old musical recordings that between all those present gave shape and breathed life.
Over time, and from these chords of collective creation, a band is formed with the veteran accordionist and bombeiro Xan Pampín with extensive musical experience in groups such as Radio Cos or Banda das Crechas, he takes the role of investigator and arranger of the repertoire of the group.
